Kpi/Senapati, October 04 2025: The Makhan Wanjeng Chief/Chairman Phom has strongly condemned the alleged abduction and torture of one Kamginlal Chongloi between Makhan and Khenjang by "armed miscreants" on the evening of October 2 .

According to a press release issued by the Association, the resident of Phaikot was later rescued by security forces.

The Association has also wished speedy recovery to Kamginlal Chongloi who has reportedly been admitted in a hospital.

Stating that Makhan area is inhabited by the Liangmai Naga community who have maintained neutrality and rescued both Meitei and Kuki communities during the peak of the conflict, the Association cautioned that such incidents malign and tarnish their image and will not be tolerated.
