The Apunba Ireipakki Maheiroi Sinpanglup (AIMS) has accused the Principal of Ibotonsana Girls Higher Secondary School of irregularities in the Class XI admission process and urged the authorities to take action against her.
Addressing the media at Kwakeithel today, AIMS secretary (education and academic affairs) Nandita Ngasepam claimed direct admissions to Class XI at Ibotonsana Girls Higher Secondary School are allowed only for students opting for the Commerce stream as per the school's May 13 notice.
Alleging that a student who hadn't taken the entrance exam was granted direct admission to the Science stream, she added the alleged admission malpractice at Ibotonsana Girls Higher Secondary School, a renowned institution in Manipur, is disappointing and unacceptable.
Numerous students who scored over 80 per cent in Class X examination participated in the entrance exam, she said and asked why direct admission was granted to just one student.
Saying that the alleged manipulation in the admission process has disappointed many students who aspired to study at the school, Nandita urged the authorities to take action against the Principal.
She said that AIMS will launch an agitation if their demand is not entertained.
