TYC celebrates 34th foundation day

Imphal, February 02 2026: The 34th Foundation Day of Thangmeiband Youth Centre (T YC) was celebrated today at its premises in Thangmeiband Hijam Dewan Leikai.

The event was graced by dignitaries, including Yengkhom Sanjeep, retired Assistant Commandant, CRP; Pukhrambam Robindro Khuman, vice president, TYC; Laishram Saranghajit, special contractor for PHED; and Samjetsabam Mangoljao, former president, the Film Forum Manipur.

The celebration commenced with the offering of floral tributes to the deceased members of TYC.

Speaking on the occasion, Pukhrambam Robindro highlighted the centre's consistent involvement in crucial social and national issues since its establishment.

He affirmed that the centre will continue to play an important role in the future.

He also noted the centre's ongoing efforts to assist those affected by the current unrest in the State.

Robindro further lamented the youth's waning interest in club activities, underscoring the importance of grassroots clubs in driving community engagement.
