Imphal, October 01 2025: The National Voluntary Blood Donation Day was observed today at District Hospital Thoubal, organised by the Blood Centre & Transfusion Unit ofDistrict Hospital Thoubal under the sponsorship of the State Blood Transfusion Council, Manipur.

The event, held under the theme "Give Blood, Give Hope: Together We Save Lives", was attended by Chief Medical Officer of Thoubal, Dr Nokul Singh; Medical Superintendent of District Hospital Thoubal, Dr W Ruhinikumar Singh; Medical Officer-in charge BCTU, District Hospital Thoubal, Dr L Dorendro Singh; and Specialist in TM, BC & TU, Dr S Robindro Singh; as presidium members.

During the programme, various organisations including, District Police Thoubal, Association of Voluntary Blood Donor Manipur, Thoubal and Chandel district branch; IRCS Thoubal and Kakching branch; Royal Fitness Gym Center, Thoubal Wangmataba; Unified Rural Development Organisation, Kairembikhok; and NSS Unit of Waikhom Mani Girls College, who have frequently donated blood on several occasions, were honoured with certificates of recognition for their selfless service.
