Th Oxford stresses on youth empowerment, responsible use of social media

Imphal, September 01 2026: A programme on the theme "Youth empowerment and impact of social media on youth" was organised at the residence of Thongju Assembly Constituency intending candidate Thingujam Oxford at Khongman Irom Leikai Zone-5 on Monday.

More than 500 youths of Youth Congress Wing from Booth No 1 to 45 participated in the programme.

Speaking on the occasion.

Thingujam Oxford deliberated on how social media influences youths in the present times and stressed the need to guide the youths in the right direction.

He also said that NRC should be implemented to protect the indigenous peoples of the State and to detect illegal immigrants, adding that if immigrants are not detected, the indigenous communities will face extinction.
