Chandel, July 01 2026: Wango Lawrence Anal of Hnatham has been elected as the new president of the Anal Lenruwl Tangpi (ALT)-General Headquarters for the tenure 2026-29.The election was conducted at Town Hall, Panchai, on Tuesday, with members of the organisation participating in the process to choose the new leadership.

The election proceedings were held in the presence of election observers including ANTA president Ps Monihring, ALCA president NL Wohlrmg, former ALT president Kanthung Ruwndar, ASR president Sr Khingam and ALS Joint Secretary Dr Bd Onahring.

A total of 128 ALT units and 11 branches exercised their franchise to elect the new executive body.

The newly elected office bearers include WL Jonah Ningtung Anal as general secretary, SP Hringmingam as assistant general secretary, ST Stelly as finance secretary-cum-treasurer, Calhngson Wangshol as education secretary and Sinruwng Machangam as Publicity, Information and Public Relations secretary.
