Timothy Wijunamai takes helm as LNC president

Timothy Wijunamai has been elected as the president of the Liangmai Naga Council (LNC), the apex body of the Liangmai tribe in Manipur, for the tenure of 2026-2028.The election took place on February 27 .
Wijunamai is a well-known and long-time Liangmai activist.
The Global Liangmai Forum (GLF) extended its warmest congratulations to Timothy Wijunamai, son of W Ranchong of Bena Nguang, Manipur, on his new role.
The GLF emphasized the LNC's vital role in guiding the community toward unity, progress, and collective wellbeing, and conveyed heartfelt best wishes to Wijunamai and his team.
The forum also expressed hope that his leadership will bring harmony, growth, and holistic prosperity to the people.
Concurrently, the Liangmai Sports Association (LSA) also congratulated Wijunamai, echoing the sentiment that the LNC carries a profound responsibility in guiding the community toward unity, progress, and holistic development.
