Special Campaign 4.0 for "Institutionalizing Swachhata & Reducing Pendency" concludes

The Regional Institute of Medical Sciences (RIMS), Imphal, concluded a month-long observance of Special Campaign 4.0, dedicated to "Institutionalizing Swachhata and Reducing Pendency", with a ceremony held at the General OPD of RIMS Hospital, Imphal.
According to a release issued by RIMS, the campaign which saw extensive participation across various departments, focused on fostering a culture of cleanliness, orderliness, and efficiency within the institution.
The ceremony also coincided with the inauguration of a Drinking Water Plant with a capacity of 500 liters per hour, refurbished from a decommissioned dialysis RO machine.
This initiative will provide drinking water to patients and the public, aiming to reduce plastic bottle usage on the hospital campus.
Speaking on the occasion, Prof G Sunil Kumar Sharma, Director of RIMS.
Imphal, stated that under the guidance of the Prime Minister, the institute has achieved a level of cleanliness that stands out in the State.
He expressed pride in the positive changes seen over the past years and commended RIMS for its commitment to cleanliness.
He emphasized that every category of staff at the institute should take responsibility to make RIMS, the cleanest institute possible.
The Director also appealed to the public to avoid using plastic bottles at the hospital and within the RIMS campus.
During the ceremony, Prof G Sunil Kumar awarded certificates and cash prizes to the top three Cleanest Departments namely Department of Microbiology, Community Medicine and PMR Department of RIMS, Imphal.
For Hospital Wards - Ortho Female Ward, Septic Ward and Paediatric Ward; and for Washrooms - Female Surgery Ward-II/III, Between Nephro Ward and Septic Ward, and Psychiatry Ward were recognized for their outstanding commitment to cleanliness.
Additionally, awards were presented to the top three winners of the Photography Contest 2024 namely Rajkumari Bushila Karta of Keishamthong Mathak (1st), Kumar Nongthongbam of Huikap Mayai Leikai (2nd) and Sanjenbam Salai Meitei of Kongpal Kongkham Leikai (3rd); and the winners of the Idea-thon Competition, both of which were held as integral parts of Special Campaign 4.0.The jury members who evaluated entries in the Photography Contest were also honored for their valuable contributions and dedication.
The success of Special Campaign 4.0 underscored RIMS, Imphal on-going commitment to maintaining a clean, efficient, and inspiring healthcare environment for both patients and staff.
Deputy Director (Admn), Principal of Dental College & College of Nursing, HODs, Nursing Officials, faculty members, students and staff of CRED & MSS, RIMS, Imphal were also present at the event.
