DC Jiribam launches "Bal Vivah Mukt Bharat" campaign

Jiribam, April 30 2025: Deputy Commissioner of Jiribam, Krishna Kumar today launched an awareness campaign of'Bal Vivah Mukt Bharat" (Child Marriage Free Nation) at his office chamber at Chingdong Leikai.

The event was organised by the District Administration, Jiribam in collaboration with the District Child Protection Unit.

Later as part of the campaign, an awareness programme on "Bal Vivah Mukt Bharat" was held at Jiribam Higher Secondary School Relief Camp.

It was attended by ADC Jiribam, Thokchom Manoranjan, and Heirangkhongjam Ibeyaima Devi, CDPO Jiribam.

Romen Lamabam, Advocate was the resource person of the programme and spoke on topics related to "Child Marriage Act" .
