Imphal East CDOs arrest UG cadres, sympathizers

Imphal, September 29 2011: The Imphal East Commandos arrested two women sympathizers of the proscribed UG group RPF from Naoremthong Khullem Leikai at around 4:30 am on September 28.They were identified as Thokchom (ongbi) Lata alias Nanao (34) wife of Th Kala alias Koireng and Shagolshem ongbi Benaobi alias Naobvi alias Tamphatombi (35) wife of Sh Inaocha alias Ranjit (40) .

Two mobile phones were recovered from their possession.

On verification, they disclosed that their husbands are active members of PLA and are in Guwahati and Dimapur respectively.

On the same day, Imphal East CDOs arrested one active member of the proscribed UG group KCP from Tangkhul Avenue along with a .32 pistol marked as 'Made in Italy' loaded with four live rounds at around 12:30pm.He was identified as David Kamei (23) son of late Adun kamei of Sangakpham Keithel Cemetry Road.

In another incident, the CDO team also apprehended another cadre of KCP at around 1:45 pm from his home.

He was identified as Ngangbam Mangal alias Ibungo alias Maiki (27) son of late Ng Sobha of Sangakpham Keithel near Auto parking.
