Imphal, May 28 2026:
Renowned playwright, lyricist, and director Moirangthem Enao on Thursday said unfinished tasks leave lasting regret, as he released his late wife RK Thoibisana' s poetry collection "Heina Natung Illakke" at the DIPR auditorium.
Thoibisana, who passed away on March 24 this year, was a prominent woman writer of Manipur.
She authored over 170 poems and 100 songs but never sought publication until 3-4 years before her death, Enao said.
The book was at proof stage when her illness worsened, delaying the release.
On the day she died, she asked if the book would be published, fearing she would not live to see it.
Enao had assured her it would be released the next day, but she passed away that evening.
"Today, her book is out.
I hope her soul is watching", he said.
Prof Koijam Shantibala of Manipuri Department, Manipur University; and Chongtham Ongbi Subadhani Devi, LEIKOL president, attended as presidium members.
Prof Maya Nepram and writer Nongthombam Bishorjit Singh reviewed the book.
