Chandel, August 27 2026: Japhou Youth Club has appreciated two siblings and senior members of the club, Prof Shongsir Warson Monsang and Shongsir Nicodim Monsang, who have earned recognitions in the Indian NGO Awards 2026.Prof Shongsir Warson Monsang received the National Talent Award 2026 in recognition of his significant contribution to the field of Veterinary Medicine.

Shongsir Nicodim Monsang won the Tagore International Award 2026 for his outstanding contribution to primary education in the district of Chandel.

The recognition of these two accomplished professionals at such a distinguished platform is a momentous occasion for the people of Monsang community, Manipur and the entire North-East region, said the Japhou Youth Club.

Born to Sh Betin Monsang and Late Ng Menchim Monsang of Japhou Village, Chandel District Manipur, Prof Shongsir Warson Monsang currently works as the Head of Department, Veterinary Surgery and Radiology at the Veterinary Sciences and Animal Husbandry Institution, Agartala.

Shongsir Nicodim Monsang is Headmaster in-charge at Japhou Upper Primary School, Japhou Village, Chandel district.
