Imphal, September 25 2025: As observed across the globe, Manipur State Pharmacy Council celebrated World Pharmacists Day at Jubilee Hall, RIMS, Imphal today on the theme, "Think Health, ThinkPharmacist" .

The celebration was graced by Dr Chambo Gonmei, Director, Health Services Manipur; Seram Baleshwar Singh, State Drugs Controller-cum-Licensing Authority; and Rajkumar Basumani Singh, president, Manipur State Pharmacy Council.

The event was marked by presentation of Honorary Awards and Lifetime Achievement Awards for the year 2025, and a panel discussion moderated by Rajkumar Basumani.

Notably, World Pharmacist Day is observed every year on September 25, to honour and acknowledge pharmacists for their important contributions to enhancing world health.

World Pharmacists Day marks the anniversary of the inception of the International Pharmaceutical Federation (FIP) in 1912 and was adopted by the FIP Council in 2009 .
