Thangso Baite, MP from outer Manipur Parliamentary constituency has said that the move of deployment of police commandos and IRB in the hill districts has been taken up by the state government after accessing the law and order of the area.
Government will do nothing which amount to loss the people.
Thangso Baite said it while speaking at a function at Saikhul sub-divisional headquarter yesterday which felicitate him as a member of Parliament from the Outer Manipur Parliamentary Constituency was organized by Kuki Inpi Saikhul and Kuki Students Organisation (KSO) .
The felicitation function was marked by presentation of cultural dance and songs.
During the felicitation function KSO, Saikhul branch submitted a memorandum to the new MP elected in the recently concluded 15th Lok Sabha elections held in April this year.
It the memorandum, the KSO requested the MP for building a multi-purpose town hall and a mini stadium at Saikhul sub-divisional headquarters.
In reply to the request, Thangso assured of taking up the works with the MP local area development fund.
Speaking on the occasion, Thangso Baite expressed that NREGS is a one of the promising scheme which was introduced by the UPA government in its earlier term.
He also informed that Centre has extended the scheme for another five year.
He further said that the decision of deployment of IRB and police commandos in the hill districts has been taken up by the state government after accessing the prevailing law and order situation in the districts.
Government has no intention to do harm for the people.
It was been taken up for the welfare of the people, he added.
