Imphal, October 24 2024: A felicitation ceremony for meritorious students of St Stephen Higher Secondary School who secured good marks in this year's Class XII examinations conducted by COHSEM was held today at the school's premises in Hiyangthang, Imphal.

It was attended by Takhellambam Ojit, Chairman, Council of Higher Secondary Education Manipur (COHSEM); Pumachandra Laishram, Principal, St Stephen Higher Secondary School; Laishram Herojit, MD, Global Micro Finance; N Thoithoiba, secretary general, DESAM and social worker Wahengbam Rojit as presidium members.

Speaking on the occasion, Takhellambam Ojit said that a committee has been constituted to make necessary preparation for implementation of grading system in the Higher Secondary Examination (HSE) conducted by COHSEM.

He asserted that the New Education Policy (NEP) 2020 has brought many key changes & reforms in the education system across the country.

He expressed hope that the committee will submit their report within 6 months and the new grading system will be introduced after the approval of the State Government.

During the event, meritorious students of the school were honoured with Lengyan Phi, citation and cash prizes.
