Thoubal, February 24 2026:
The Principal of PLC Academy and Assistant Officer-in-Charge (AOC) of the HSLC examination centre, Thokchom Sanahan Meetei, has strongly refuted allegations linking the institution to an incident involving the alleged supply of printed answer sheets on the first day of the Class X examinations.
Speaking to the media at a press conference held at PLC Academy, Sanahan said that claims made by I YAK members and volunteers through television channels and print media alleging that two individuals involved in supplying printed answer sheets were apprehended near the PLC Academy are baseless and a deliberate attempt to tarnish the image of the centre.
Clarifying the matter, he stated that the location where IYAK volunteers reportedly apprehended the two individuals and recovered materials, including a van, laptop and printer, is not situated near the examination centre.
He added that the area where the individuals were caught and the items recovered is believed to be from Yairipok Khoirom, which is located far from the PLC examination centre.
The Principal appealed to all concerned not to repeat such incidents in the future.
He also demanded stringent punishment for those involved in the illegal act, while reiterating the commitment of the examination centre to conduct the HSLC examinations in a fair and transparent manner.
