Toilet block inaugurated

The Assam Rifles inaugurated a newly constructed toilet block at Arapti Mamang Leikai Lower Primary School in Arapti village in Imphal East district.
According to a release issued by PRO HQ IGAR( South), the initiative is part of the ongoing Operation Sadbhavana, aimed at enhancing infrastructure and providing basic amenities to underserved communities.
The inauguration ceremony was attended by about 70 villagers, including notable dignitaries.
The construction of the toilet block was prompted by a request from the village authorities due to the significant deterioration of existing facilities, which posed challenges for both students and staff.
The new facility represents a substantial improvement and reflects the commitment of Assam Rifles to address the basic needs of local populations and supporting development in remote areas.
Notably, Operation Sadbhavana continues to foster goodwill and improve the quality of life in North Eastern India, bridging communities and enhancing trust through sustainable development initiatives.
The villagers and school authorities expressed their gratitude to the Assam Rifles for this thoughtful initiative, praising their efforts to uplift living standards in Arapti.
