Training programme kicks off

Imphal, February 22 2025:
All India Coordinated Research Project on Micro and Secondary Nutrients and Pollutant Elements in Soils and Plants (AICRP-MSPE), CAU, Imphal Centre completed "Three Days Master Trainers 'Training Programme on Advanced Soil Testing for Promoting Sustainable Soil Health Management and Agricultural Productivity" today.
A total of 18 participants serving as AAO, AO and SMS from Directorate of Agriculture, Department of Horticulture and Soil Conservation and KVKs of Imphal East, West, Thoubal, Bishnupur, Tamenglong and Ukhrul districts of Manipur participated in the training programme which kicked off on February 20.A training manual was released during the valedictory function chaired by Professor Indira Sarangthem, DI, CAU, Imphal and Dean, COA, CAU, Imphal, Dr LM Gamayak, DOR, CAU Imphal, Professor L Nabachandra, Professor N Brajendra, Professor U Chaoba and Dr N Surbala Devi, COA, CAU, Imphal.
Professor Indira Sarangthem highlighted the importance of secondary and micronutrients and need for organic and natural farming in relation to sustainable soil health.
Meanwhile chief guest Dr LM Gamayak emphasized on the importance of promoting soil health for higher agricultural productivity.
