Oral health training held for ANMs, CHOs at Yairipok

A one-day oral health training programme for Auxiliary Nurse Midwives (ANMs) and Community Health Officers (CHOs) was held at the Conference Hall of CHC Yairipok on Friday.
The programme was organised by the National Oral Health Programme (NOHP), Thoubal, under the initiative of the District Health Society, Thoubal, with the objective of strengthening awareness and early management of oral health-related diseases at the grassroots level.
Chief Medical Officer, Thoubal, Dr Krishnachandra Luwang; DHS Thoubal DPO Ch Basanta; and CHC Yairipok Medical Officer-in-charge and NOHP Thoubal Nodal Officer Dr L Robinson Singh attended the inaugural session as presidium members.
Around 30 ANMs and CHOs from 20 different health institutions participated in the training.
Dr L Robinson Singh and MDS Senior Dental Surgeon Dr L Joshi served as resource persons.
The training was conducted in two technical sessions covering various aspects of oral health, including identification and management of oral health problems.
Delivering the keynote address, Dr L Robinson Singh said the programme aimed to equip ANMs and CHOs with the knowledge and skills required to identify oral health-related diseases and provide appropriate guidance to patients visiting health institutions.
