Welfare Camp for journalists concludes

As part of the nationwide Jan Kalyan Shivir Public Welfare Campaign, the Directorate of Information and Public Relations (DIPR), Manipur, organised a three-day Welfare Camp for journalists and beneficiaries from June 18 to 20 at DIPR Headquarters.
Nityaipat Chuthek, Imphal.
The camp focused on services under the Manipur State Journalists' Welfare Scheme (MSJWS) and the Manipur Working Journalists' Pension Scheme (MWJPS), facilitating enrolment, application submission, and grievance redressal.
Pension books were distributed to eligible beneficiaries to ensure timely delivery of benefits.
On the final day, DIPR Director Dr Th Charanjeet Singh handed over pension passbooks to newly approved subscribers under MWJPS.
He called the initiative commendable and urged journalists to avail the schemes for social and financial security.
Eighteen journalists availed services during the camp, while 40-50 others inquired about the welfare measures.
The camp highlighted DIPR's commitment to effective implementation of journalist welfare programmes.
