Water supply to be disrupted

Imphal, June 19 2026: The Public Health Engineering Department (PHED), Manipur, has informed that there will be irregular water supply to the public in areas covered by the Porompat Water Treatment Plant due to a technical issue at the intake point.

The affected areas include New Checkon, Nongmeibung, Thawanthaba Leirak, Tribal Colony, Khalabung Leirak, Soibam Leikai, Ayangpalli Road, Kongpal, Tellipati, Wangkhei Khunou, Hatta, Rahmania, Top Khongnang Makhong and Thambalkhong, among others.

According to the department, normal water supply will be resumed as soon as the technical problem is rectified.

The PHED has expressed regret for the inconvenience caused to the public and has sought cooperation and understanding from consumers during the period of disruption.
