FNCC, NPU condemn

Imphal, April 18 2026:
The Foothills Naga Coordinating Committee (FNCC) and the Naga People's Union, Imphal, have condemned the brutal ambush near TM Kasom Khullen in Ukhrul, which resulted in the killing of two Tangkhul Naga individuals.
FNCC, in a press note, urged the State authorities to take swift and decisive action to identify and penalise all those responsible for the attack.
It also urged the Chief Minister and the Home Minister to immediately deploy the State forces along the affected highway in place of the Central forces.
The FNCC also appealed to all Nagas to stand firm together and ensure that the sacrifice of 'our people' is not forgotten.
NPU, Imphal, condemning the ambush on civilians, said that the deliberate shedding of Naga blood on their own land will not be forgotten nor will it go unanswered through democratic and legal means.
Urging the Chief Minister and the Home Minister to protect the highway by deploying State forces.
