MP Sanajaoba rues internal discord

Imphal, April 18 2025: Rajya Sabha MP and titular king Leishemba Sanajaoba has stated that "resolving discord among ourselves is more challenging than striving for victory in the ongoing conflict" .

MP Sanajaoba stated this while inspecting the ongoing work at the sacred site of Ima Nungthabi Lairembi at Sekta Hidam Pat in Lamlai AC on Friday, accompanied by Lamlai MLA Kh Ibomcha and Manipur University of Culture vice chancellor professor P Gunindro.

During the inspection visit, the MP told media persons that he has long wanted to develop the sacred site at Sekta Hidam Pat and it will be developed soon following reminders from local leaders/ representatives.

Expressing deep concern over the prevailing situation in Manipur, the titular king remarked that the ongoing conflict is not easy; however, it would not be overly difficult to strive for victory.

He noted that rather than working together, people are more inclined to hurl accusations at one another on social media and stressed the importance of having a spirit of rectification when mistakes are made.

"If we stand united and fight together, it would not be difficult to defeat the enemy," he asserted.
