Assam Rifles organises security meet

Assam Rifles organised an interactive security meeting with the villagers at COB Gaidimjang, Noney district on Wednesday.
According to a release issued by the IGAR (East), the meeting was aimed to foster a sense of mutual understanding and cooperation between the security forces and the local population.
It focused mainly on security related concerns about movement on UG groups in the area.
Other concerns discussed during the meeting were cooperation from the village authorities in preventing any untoward incident, pre-recruitment training for youth, and other issues being faced by the locals, said the IGAR (East) .
Similar program with the Village Chairmen of nearby villages was also held at COB Tupul today organised by the Assam Rifles.
A total of 7 representatives were present during the meeting.

The village authorities conveyed their gratitude towards Assam Rifles for keeping the villages peaceful and for extending timely assistance whenever required by them.
