CADA organises academic awareness programme at Yairipok

Imphal, February 17 2026: As part of their campaign against drugs and alcohol, the Coalition Against Drugs and Alcohol (CADA) organised an academic awareness programme on Tuesday at Yairipok Huidrom Maning Leikai Community Hall.

According to a press release, the theme of the awareness programme was "Nisana Khunaida Piba Cheitheng Amasung Masibu Thingbada Meeyamgi Thoudang".

CADA Thoubal District Committee; Huidrom Meraguni, president, Huidrom Maning Leikai Chaokhat Thourang Apunba Nupi; and Kangujam Muktamani, expresident, Huidrom Maning Leikai United Club, attended as presidium members, while Ningthoujam Doren, vice-president, CADA served as the resource person of the programme.

Speakers highlighted the detrimental impact of narcotic and addictive substances on students, and elaborated how it ultimately affects society as a whole.

They also stressed the role of parents, teachers, and meira paibis in the fight against drugs and alcohol to make Manipur a drug-free state.
