CM Biren leaves for BJP meet

Imphal, October 16 2024: Chief minister N Biren Singh left for New Delhi on Wednesday to attend the BJP chief ministers' meet in Chandigarh and the swearing-in ceremony of Haryana chief minister Nayab Singh Saini to be conducted on Thursday.

According to a reliable source, CM Biren will attend swearing-in ceremony of Nayab Saini on Thursday morning and then attend the BJP CMs' meet.

After the meeting, Biren will return to New Delhi and is expected to meet some central leaders to apprise them of the present situation in the state and other issues.

Another source informed that some ministers and MLAs who took part in the meeting initiated by the Ministry of Home Affairs on Tuesday are still camping in the national capital though some have returned to the state.

Ministers and MLAs still in the national capital are waiting for the chief minister so that they could jointly meet national leaders, the source added.
