Winter clothes distributed to children at HFAO Thambal Home in Kakching

Kakching, December 15 2025: The District Child Protection Unit (DCPU), Kakching, in collaboration with the Department of Social Welfare and under the supervision of the District Administration Kakching, on Monday organised a programme for distribution of warm clothes to children in Child Care Institutions (CCIs) to help them cope with the winter season.

The distribution was carried out in connection with Children's Day celebrations, and benefited the children of HFAO Thambal Children Home for Girls located at Arong Nongmaikhong in Kakching district.

The programme was attended by Sandhyarani Okram, AC to DC, Kakching; Aribam Sophia, BO/JDO, DC Office, Kakching; Thangjam Sangita, SDC Headquarters, SDO Kakching; Gajoo Rajkumari, District Child Protection Officer (DCPO), DCPU, Department of Social Welfare, Kakching and H Premkumar, Secretary, HFAO Thambal Children Home for Girls, Arong Nongmaikhong, among others.

It may be noted that earlier this month, the DCPU Kakching had also organised similar winter clothing distribution programmes for children of Morning Star Children Home and BDS Children Home at Keirak Chingkhei Hunba Leikai.
