Imphal, April 15 2026: A massive torch rally from Kwakeithel to Keishampat this evening reiterated demand for justice for children killed in the April 7 Tronglaobi attack.

The rally, participated largely by Meira Paibis, was organised by All Manipur United Clubs' Organisation (AMUCO), Manipuri Students' Federation (MSF), Poirei Leimarol Apunba Meira Paibi Manipur (PLAMPM), All Manipur Women's Voluntary Association (AMAWOVA) and Committee on Human Rights (CoHR) .

On the sideline of the rally, AMUCO president Sanjoy Sorokhaibam urged the Government to take concrete and decisive action against terrorism.

He accused the Government of India of conducting a proxy war in Manipur, and implementing divisive policies.

The Government of India can end the Manipur conflict anytime it wants, but it is prolonging it, disrespecting the people of the State and their aspirations, he added.

The Government must rein in SoO Kuki militants to end terror, he said.

There will be bigger trouble if the Government continues to play with the sentiments of the people, he added.
