Imphal, November 13 2025: Makuiluangdi Festival 2025, a cultural festival of Zeliangrong/Luangdimai people will be held from November 18 to 21 at Makuiluangdi, announced the Central Organizing Committee of the festival.

The festival will be held under the theme "Malanwangbo: Return of the Native" .

Some of the highlights of the festival are the ancestral trail run from Makhel to Makuiluangdi, piling of village stones at the hallowed ground; folk song competition; painting competition; traditional games and sports; exhibition of arts and crafts, it added.

The Committee appealed to all Zeliangrong/ Luangdimai villagers who have not brought their village stones in the 2019 festival to bring their village stones to be placed at the Hallowed Ground as a symbolic gesture of Malanwangbo - a return to the place of origin and renew their togetherness.

The festival will also be enriched by cultural dances and songs presented by the Heraka Association from Assam, Nagaland, as well as performances by TRC Imphal.

Makuiluangdi Festival stands as a beacon of unity among the Zeliangrong/Luangdimai people, reaffirming the values of kinship and cultural pride, the Committee said.
