RUAS confers degrees, honours medical excellence at 10th Convocation

Bengaluru, June 13 2026:
Ramaiah Medical College, a constituent institution of Ramaiah University of Applied Sciences (RUAS), held its 10th Annual Convocation Ceremony on June 11, 2026, at the Ramaiah Medical College Auditorium.
The ceremony opened with the "Ramaiah Anthem", after which Chancellor Dr MR Jayaram declared the convocation open.
Vice-Chancellor Prof Kuldeep Kumar Raina welcomed the gathering and presented the university's annual report.
Chief guest Dr David L Reich, President of Mount Sinai Hospital and Chief Clinical Officer of Mount Sinai Health System, joined Dr Jayaram and other dignitaries to release the Convocation Proceedings and Patent Book.
Students demonstrating exceptional academic excellence were felicitated by Dr Jayaram.
Gold medals went to Dr Nidhi Radhakrishnan (MD Pathology), Dr Agarwal Resham Sanjay (MD Respiratory Medicine), Dr Kavana K Murthy (MS Ophthalmology), Dr SN Sourabha (DM Nephrology), and Dr Dron Sharma (MCh Urology) .
Silver medals and Academic Achievement Endowment Awards were also conferred on outstanding postgraduates across specialities.
In his address, Dr Jayaram urged graduates to uphold ethics, prioritise character over wealth, and embrace India's Ayurvedic heritage while learning from global practices.
Dr Reich lauded the vision of founder MS Ramaiah and the institution's ethos of "Service to Humanity is Service to God", while recognising parents' sacrifices in students' success.
The convocation concluded with the conferment of degrees and a renewed pledge by graduates to serve society with knowledge, compassion, and integrity.
