JNIMS' staff suspend stir

Imphal, October 12 2026: JNIMS' Trained Nurses Association and Association for All NonTeaching Staff (AANTS) have, today, suspended their stir for a month.

The decision to suspend the stir was taken after assurance was given to address their demands, said the organisations.

The associations have been urging the authorities concerned for completion of the MGEL process and credit of NPS contributions, and consultation with them on recruitment rules (RR) and other service matters concerning clinical staff.

While the sit-in protest has been suspended, the Nurses and all non-teaching staff will continue to don black badge until their demands are fulfilled, said the associations.
