Jiribam, October 12 2025: Manipuri Short Story Society, India has invited applications from interested short story writers for four literary awards.

Manipuri short story books published between 2022 and 2025 are eligible for the awards, said a press release issued by Sarat Thokchom, general secretary, Manipuri Short Story Society, India.

The awards are the biennial Moirangthem Ongbi Thiyam Ningol Modhumati Memorial Award 2025, Lairikyengbam Bidhi Singh Memorial Award 2025, Naoroibam Dhananjoy Singh Memorial Award 2025 and Maisnam Bokul Singh Memorial Award 2025 which will be given to a short story book authored by a writer below 35 years of age.

Interested writers can get further details and submit their applications by October 31, 2025 to N Lokeswor Singh, Imphal Chapter (8787409513), Kh Kanta Singh, Cachar Chapter (8638052131) and Sarat Thokchom, general secretary (8974916075) .

The awards will be distributed during the Short Story Festival 2025 set to be held from December 25 to 27 in Agartala, Tripura.
