RIMS organises dental camp

The Department of Paediatric and Preventive Dentistry.
Department of Public Health Dentistry, Dental College RIMS, Imphal in collaboration with Directorate of Ayush, Egalitarian Manipur of the Altruist (EMA) Trust, Heritage Foundation of Mankind Sangaiprou and Ideal Girls College Akampat organised a dental camp at Akampat Relief Campyesterday.
The camp was conducted as a part of a series of activities organised under the ISPPD NANHI-MUSKAN project and Swachhta Action Plan 2024-25.According to a release issued by RIMS, the programme mainly focused on uplifting the underprivileged children by various outreach activities aimed at improving health care and other well-being.
Altogether, 117 children and adults were examined for various healthcare concerns by specialist doctors from the departments of Medicine, ENT, Ophthalmologist, Refractionist and Paediatrician.
Various dental treatments including extraction, restoration and oral prophylaxis were provided to the inmates.
Free medicines, Ayush health talk and Ayush health kit were distributed.
A pottery making class was also conducted for children staying in the relief camp.
Doctors and staff of RIMS, Imphal, members from Directorate of Ayush, EMA, Heritage Foundation of Mankind Sangaiprou and Ideal Girls College Akampat also took part in the camp.
