Imphal, December 10 2025: The AllManipur Excise Employee's Welfare Association has suspended its ongoing cease work-strike, following a positive and encouraging response from the higher authorities regarding the issues raised by the association.

"During the recent communication/meeting with the competent authorities, assurance was given that the keys demands, including pay anomaly resolution, 13 month pay consideration, ration allowances, and other pending grievances will be examined with priority and necessary steps will be taken within the stipulated time", said All-Manipur Excise Employee's Welfare Association in a release.

In view of this construction engagement and as a sign of good will to the department, the association decided to resume regular excise duties temporarily while monitoring the progress of the commitments made.

The association appreciated the understanding and support of all excise employees & media during this period, and expressed hope that the authorities will address the genuine concerns of the workforce within the assured timeline.
