Rotary Club of Imphal honours teachers with Nation Builder Award

The Rotary Club of Imphal (RID-3240) has honoured five school teachers with Nation Builder Award under TEACH programme of India Literacy Mission on Monday.
As per a release issued by Rotary Club of Imphal, the awards were presented during the observation of International Literacy Day at Rotary Bhavan, Mantripukhri.
Nation Builder Award winners for 2025 are S Radha Devi of Thongju Jr High School, H Tondon Devi of Awang Ngairangbam Primary School.
Elangbam Rameshwar Singh of Sekmaijin High School, Moirangthem Kiranmala Devi of Taobungkhok Upper Primary School and Shamurailatpam Premita Devi of Lamdeng High School.
Gracing the event as the chief guest, Prof N Lokendra Singh, Vice Chancellor, Manipur University, congratulated all the award winners and lauded the Rotary Club of Imphal for motivating the school teachers through such programmes.
He stated that International Literacy Day is observed every year on September 8 to raise awareness about the importance of literacy for individuals and society.
Dr Th Digel Singh, president, Rotary Club of Imphal; Salam Sachhidanand Singh, assistant governor, Zone XII; Prof Maibam Chourjit Singh, club literacy chair; and Okram Sonamani Singh, secretary, Rotary Club Imphal were the other presidium members.
