GC, Langjing & 143 Bn CRPF celebrate Valour Day; 109 Bn mark raising day

Imphal, April 09 2025: Group Centre, CRPF, Langjing, Imphal and 143 Bn, CRPF, Lamphelpat, Imphal celebrated Valour Day today to pay homage to all bravehearts of the force.

143 Bn CRPF honoured the gallant action of the personnel of 2nd Bn CRPF at Sardar & Tak Posts where Ravinder Sharma, Commandant, 143 Bn paid homage to the martyrs.

Highlights of the day include, the administering of a pledge (Sankalp), organising Sainik Sammelan, a football match in the evening and Barakhana at night.

Meanwhile, the Valour Day celebration organised by Group Centre, CRPF, Langjing began with RN Dash, IPS, IG M&N Sector CRPF laying a wreath before the Martyrs Memorial, Group Centre CRPF Imphal and felicitating the families of the martyrs.

R Duidang, DIGP, Anil Kumar Bhardwaj, DIGP, GC, CRPF Imphal, Vinay Anand, DIGP, Dr OB Singh, DIG (Med), CH Imphal with all officers and men of all ranks were present and paid heartfelt tribute to the martyrs of the force.

Separately, the 109 Bn CRPF celebrated its 35th raising day with great enthusiasm and solemnity at HQ/109 Bn, CRPF Mongsangei in Imphal West.

The function began with a heartfelt homage to the martyrs of CRPF by Brijesh Kumar, Commandant-109 Bn, CRPF, Second-in-Command-109 Bn, officers, SOs and personnel of 109 Bn.

On this occasion, Corn-mandant 109 Bn, received guard of honour at the Unit Quarter Guard.

The cultural event held in the evening was graced by Rajendra Narayan Dash, IPS, IG M&N Sector, CRPF as chief guest.

The event was marked with a vibrant cultural program with active participation of students from the academy, personnel of 109 Bn and families.

The event concluded with a prize distribution and vote of thanks.

In connection with the raising day celebration, a mela was organised on April 6 at Unit HQ, Mongsangei.
