Imphal, March 09 2025: Gyanratna Sahitya Academy, Guwahati has conferred the prestigious Samaj Sewak National Award 2025 to Thounaojam Romen of Singjamei Thongam Leikai and Wangkheirakpam Shreeman Singh of Nongmeibung.

The awards were handed over by Gyanratna Sahitya Academy national president Dr Hem Chandra Barman and Asom Gana Parishad MLA Prithibi Maji during an event held at Amal Prova Bhawan in Guwahati today.

Notably, Thounaojam Romen is the managing trustee of Thounaojam Chaoba Memorial Charitable Trust, Singjamei while Wangkheirakpam Shreeman Singh is the chairman of We Care Skill Solution.

The awards were presented in recognition of their exemplary work for the welfare of underprivileged, elderly and unemployed youths.
