State delegation attends 11th IISF, Haryana

The 11th edition of the India International Science Festival (IISF) has kicked off in Panchkula, Haryana, celebrating the country's progress in science, innovation, and technology.
The four-day National Science event was inaugurated by Union Minister for Science and Technology Dr Jitendra Singh, on December 6.At this event, Kengoo Zuringla, Secretary, Science & Technology, Government of Manipur and Member Secretary, MASTEC; Chingakham Sachi, Additional Secretary and Director, Science & Technology, Government of Manipur; Dr Kh Rakesh, Director, MASTEC; and Ch Sarat Singh, Senior Scientific Officer, MASTEC, represented the Department of Science & Technology, Government of Manipur, and the Manipur Science & Technology Council (MASTEC) in the Science-Technology-Defence-Space Exhibition.
As per a release issued by MASTEC, major activities and achievements of MASTEC and the Department of Science & Technology in research and development, technology demonstration, human resource development, intellectual property rights, women's empowerment, and science popularisation were showcased during the exhibition.
At the event, Kengoo Zuringla highlighted the key challenges and initiatives taken up by MASTEC and the department for strengthening the STI ecosystem in the State, such as the Dr Ibeyaima Innovation Award, State Innovation Hub, FRP Boats for fishermen, etc .
She also suggested a way forward during the Minister-Secretary-Council-CEO round table conference held on December 6-7, at Panchkula.
Visitors from all sections of society visited the Manipur stall and interacted with the officials.
