Entrepreneurship Development Programme concludes at NIELIT Imphal

Imphal, August 08 2026:
The Entrepreneurship Development Programme, organised under the ChiefMinister's Entrepreneurship Support Scheme (CMESS) of Manipur Startup Scheme successfully concluded at NIELIT Imphal on Saturday.
The six-day programme, held from August 3 to 8, aimed at equipping aspiring entrepreneurs with knowledge, practical skills and confidence to establish sustainable business enterprises.
A total of 180 participants from Imphal East, Imphal West, Bishnupur, Thoubal, Kakching, Ukhrul and Senapati districts took part.
Sessions covered opportunity identification, innovation, statutory compliance, intellectual property rights, financial management, bank financing, digital marketing, government schemes, business planning and investor engagement.
On the first day, Prof Ch Ibohal Meitei spoke on entrepreneurial mindset while Dr Kharibam Somorendro Singh stressed on identifying viable local ideas.
On August 4, Prof L Jibon Kumar discussed seven sources of innovation and Roshni Kumar Yambem shared insights on business ownership.
On August 5, Ksh Bikramjit Singh explained legal formalities and Leimapokpam Surjit Singh highlighted IPR protection.
On August 6, Puyam Surchand Singh and Oinam Khogendro Singh dwelt on financial management and bank loan procedures.
On August 7, Kh Veeshel Singh spoke on digital marketing and Al-based branding and Dr Sinam Yoirentomba on MSME schemes.
The concluding day featured Sapam Shyamananda on pitching and investor engagement and Devson Yengkhom on business management.
