ILDS hosts health camp for scribes, families

Imphal, December 07 2025:
The Institute of Liver and Digestive Sciences (ILDS), Kwakeithel Heinoukhongnembi in collaboration with All Manipur Working Journalists' Union (AMWJU), organised a 1-Day Health Camp exclusively for AMWJU members and their families on Sunday.
About 50 journalists from various media houses along with their family members participated in the camp.
Apart from free doctor consultations, various services such as free screenings for Hepatitis B & Hepatitis C, FibroScan (Liver Stiffness Test), Ultrasound Screening and ECG were provided to the journalists.
The participants also received additional benefits of 25 percent discount on laboratory tests and 15 percent discount on medicines.
At the event, Dr N Surajkumar, Managing Director of ILDS, said that early detection and preventive healthcare are essential for journalists who work under high pressure and irregular schedules.
Appreciating the journalists for their sacrifices and contributions towards the society, Dr N Surjakumar announced that ILDS will be organising similar health camps for journalists and their families every year.
