Lok Bhavan hosts blood donation camp

Imphal, October 07 2026: A voluntary blood donation programme was organised at the Lok Bhavan, Imphal, today.

Nearly 100 donors, including Lok Bhavan officials and staff, CRPF personnel, and students of DM College of Arts donated blood during the camp.

The camp was organised by the Lok Bhavan in association with the Indian Red Cross Society, Manipur State Branch and the Department of Transfusion, Medicine, RIMS, Imphal.

Governor Ajay Kumar Bhalla interacted with the blood donors and appreciated their noble gesture.

Representatives of the Indian Red Cross Society, officials of RIMS and representatives of the Manipur AIDS Control Society (MACS) were also present during the programme.

The programme highlighted the importance of voluntary blood donation in saving precious lives and encouraged greater public participation in such humanitarian initiatives.
