AMSU's academic campaign continues

Imphal, August 07 2026: As part of the 61st Chaklam Khongchat observance, the All Manipur Students' Union (AMSU) on Friday organised academic campaigns at various schools across the State under its ongoing Regeneration Month.

In Imphal East district, the campaign was held at St George High School, Wangkhei.

Speaking at the event, AMSU vice-president Naorem Wangamba said the people of Manipur are facing a time that will determine the future of the land and its identity.

He noted that while the public is demanding NRC, various attempts are being made to undermine Manipur's territorial integrity.

Wangamba further stated that the Centre's move to fence the border and discuss the status of the Kabaw Valley, taken from Manipur, is a serious concern.

He urged students and the public to unite to protect the land and its heritage.

Similar academic campaigns were also conducted today at Emmanuel English School, Success School, Tejpur and other schools in Imphal East; HHG and Life School SDJM in Imphal West; and ADL English School, Pr English School, Grace Reach Academy in Kakching district, among others.
