Assam Rifles observes World Food Safety Day

Assam Rifles in collaboration with local community, organized a significant event to commemorate World Food Safety Day at Sehlon, Aibol Joupi, Kovang, Old Samtal, Phoilen and New Samtal villages today.
The event aimed to raise awareness about the importance of food safety and hygiene practices, within the community in the region, said a statement by the Assam Rifles.
As a part of the event, a lecture was conducted to educate the villagers about the significance of food safety and the potential health risks associated with consuming contaminated food.
The lecture covered topics such as proper food handling, storage, and hygiene practices to prevent food borne diseases.
The villagers gained valuable insights into safeguarding food quality and preventing foodbome illnesses.
As part of its ongoing efforts to serve and protect the community, Assam Rifles reaffirmed its dedication to fostering a culture of food safety and hygiene, contributing to the overall health and prosperity of the region, said the statement.
