IGNOU, Imphal hosts 39th convocation

Imphal, April 07 2026: The Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU), Imphal celebrated the 39th IGNOU convocation ceremony at Asha Hall, Asha Jina Complex, North AOC, Imphal today.

The main ceremony was conducted at IGNOU, New Delhi and simultaneously at 51 Regional Centres of IGNOU and live telecasted/ webcasted/broadcasted through Gyan Darshan TV Channel/Gyan Vani FM Radio Stations/Gyan Dhara Web Radio/Swayam Prabha DTH Channels/YouTube and Facebook of the University.

As the guest of honour, Professor DVLN Somayajulu, Director, National Institute of Technology, Manipur conferred degree/diploma certificates to 1420 learners - consisting of 1058 Master's degree, 302 Bachelor's Degree, 44 Diploma and 16 Certificate programmes.

Dr Salam Dilan, Senior Regional Director, IGNOU IMphal also graced the event.

It is worth noting that the main ceremony at IGNOU, New Delhi was attended by CP Radhakrishnan, Vice President of India as the chief guest and Taranjit Singh Sandhu, Lieutenant Governor of Delhi as guest of honour and presided by Professor Uma Kanjilal, Vice Chancellor, IGNOU .
