RIMS organises Swachhta Health Camp

Regional Institute of Medical Sciences (RIMS), Imphal, successfully organised a Swachhta Health Camp on Sunday under the Swachhta Action Plan 2024-25 at Leitanpokpi Temporary Shelter Home, Leitanpokpi Mairenpat, Imphal East.
Speaking on the occasion, Prof Y Govindaraj Singh, Nodal Officer, SAP/ Kaya Kalp 2024-25, said that the health camp was conducted as part of the Special Campaign 4, which is focused on providing healthcare to internally displaced communities.
He noted that the number of health camps has been increased under this special campaign, with plans to organise more camps focusing on the needs of displaced persons.
According to a release issued by RIMS, doctors from various departments including Obstetrics & Gynecology, Pediatrics, and Cardiothoracic & Vascular Surgery (CTVS), provided health examination and consultation to about 150 patients during the camp.
Free medicines were also distributed to the patients.
The Swachhta Health Camp participated by doctors, students and staff of RIMS, Imphal, reflected the institute's continued dedication to community health and well-being.
The initiative also aligned with the broader goals of the Swachhta Action Plan, promoting health, hygiene and cleanliness in underserved and displaced populations.
