Imphal, October 05 2026: Keirao Women's Cultural Centre, Keirao Bitra staged its social play production titled "Meelai" at the auditorium of Huyen Lallong Manipur Thang-Ta Cultural Association, Irilbung.

The play, produced with assistance from Sangeet Natak Akademi, New Delhi, was staged for the public.

Retired Principal of Azad Higher Secondary School Mutum Jadumani, theatre director of the Cultural Centre T Kamala, and Member of Ward No 3, Keirao GP Shagolshem Baleshwor attended as presidium members.

Speaking on the occasion, Kamala said the play 'Meelai' portrays how pride and arrogance affect a person's work and ultimately lead to his downfall.

She observed that a person who asserts superiority while working with others finds no one standing by him in times of crisis.

If we live together with mutual understanding and respect for each other as fellow human beings, we can build a peaceful society, she added.
