Imphal, August 04 2026: Sangeet Kala Foundation, Keishamthong Thangjam Leirak on Sunday presented a public performance of 'Pousa Jagoi' at Pousa Jagoi Divine Club Community Hall, Kakwa Nameirakpam Leikai.

The presentation followed a 15-day workshop held under the CMAT Scheme 2025-26 of the Department of Art & Culture, Government of Manipur.

The event was attended by Gurumayum Dharmadas Sharma, Joint Director, Department of Art & Culture as chief guest, Phanjoubam Iboton Singh of Sangeet Natak Academy and retired Pradhan Guru, JNMDA as president, and social worker Kongbam Jackson Singh as guest of honour.

Addressing the gathering, G Dharmadas said the State Government, through CMAT, supports artists financially and helps students procure instruments and stage new productions.

He stressed that Manipur's rich art and culture can be promoted only with collective efforts of the Government, public, gurus and artists.

The programme concluded with Maibi Laiching Jagoi and the new production Pousa Jagoi presented to the public.
