MLA hosts feast for IDPs

Imphal, July 04 2025: Thongju AC MLA Th Biswajit hosted a feast for internally displaced people (IDPs) as part of Rath Yatra celebrations at Shree Shree Govindajee Temple at Palace Compound today.

Speaking to the media on the sideline, the MLA said that he would continue to provide assistance to the IDPs until they are able to return to their native places.

Saying that normalcy has gradually returned to Manipur due to the various initiatives taken up by the Central Government, he added that no community wants a crisis to happen.

The MLA appealed to the people to cooperate with the Government in restoring normalcy in the State.

Irom Rajendra, an IDP from Moreh currently sheltering at the Akampat relief camp, expressed gratitude towards MLA Biswajit for providing assistance.

He prayed for a return to normalcy in Manipur so that displaced individuals can rebuild their lives at their native places.

Prior to the feast, the MLA joined the IDPs in a prayer for peace and normalcy in Manipur.
