Imphal, June 04 2012:
The proscribed revolutionary organisation People's Revolutionary Party of Kangleipak (PREPAK-Pro) in a statement claimed that the bomb attack at the house of Managing Director of Manipur Development Society (MDS) Y Ningthem was carried out by cadres of the party as a first warning under the Operation Pruning of the organisation.
It also claimed that the bomb attack at the houses of Special Contractor M Chaoba and O Meghachandra were also carried out under the same operation by the party.
Informing about the necessity of the operation, a statement signed by its Assistant Secretary, Publicity and Propaganda, Major Sunil stated that some bureaucrats in the valley in alliance with head of government departments and MLA/Ministers are swindling large amount of public money sanctioned by the government for the welfare of the people.
Many ministers are sanctioning large amount of public money to some selected departments and swindling them in alliance with the department heads.
Among such departments, MDS, LDA and FCS can be noted, it stated.
Managing Director of MDS Y Ningthem has been working as a Financial Collector cum broker of the Chief Secretary, Ministers and Bureaucrats since the past many years.
They have swindled around 70 percent of the development funds meant for the public.
In order to save his skin from the revolutionary organisations, Ningthem is living under close security watch in his big building at Mantripukhri.
Moreover, he is also constructing a big hotel near the 2nd MR and he also has a BMW car which clearly shows that he is a corrupt officer who swindles public money for his own interest.
The present asset of Ningthem in his possession will be enough for maintenance of PREPAK (Pro) for 20 years.
Such persons who suck the blood of poor people are not worthy for sympathy.
They should be taught the consequences of their greediness, the statement added.
On the other hand, Special Contractor M Chaoba and O Meghachandra are two contractors who have nexus with many corrupted high ranking officers, bureaucrats and ministers.
They must have earned more than Rs 200 crores in a year through contract works.
By earning such huge income, they are not doing any charity work for the common people.
For them, donating some fraction of their wealth to the revolutionary organisations will not cause any major harm in their lives.
The party is also closely monitoring some MLAs from the valley area.
Whenever, they get the chances, they will attack such MLAs who got elected on the power of money.
Under the Operation Pruning (OP), the party will closely monitor MLA, ministers and bureaucrats and actions will be taken up against them at times.
Persons who swindle developmental fund for the welfare of the people will be dealt with certain actions.
The party will also monitor who are doing charity works for the public and who are not to point out the enemy of the people, the statement added.
It also appealed to the people stay away from such people to avoid collateral damages.
