Imphal, June 03 2025: The Village Water & Sanitation Committee (VWSC), Khekman, Thoubal has appealed to the authorities concerned to immediately repair the Leishangthem Power-Sub-Station considering the plight of the people.

The VWSC in a release stated that since May 31, 2025, due to malfunction of the sub-station, the power supply to the villages of Khekman, Moijing and Keibung have been disrupted causing significant inconveniences to the people.

"When the State is reeling under flood due to incessant rain in the State, the disruption in "power supply" has added more woes to the villagers, causing severe inconveniences to the people, said VWSC.

Therefore VWSC has urged the authorities concerned to immediately repair the Leishangthem Power Sub-Station that has remained malfunctioning for the past few days.
